HomeLWVSC Intern Program

The LWVSC Internship Program attracts individuals eager to carry out our nonpartisan mission as we foster voter engagement, turnout in elections, and political involvement on issues significant to our community. Mentored by the LWVSC membership of men and women, interns work with our teams and are active independently in Sacramento County community and college campus settings. There are two internship sessions per year offered to college students (Aug.-Dec. and Jan-June), with class credit obtainable by working with the CSUS administration.

LWVSC is committed to reflecting this region’s range of racial, ethnic, cultural, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic identities, and encourage individuals from a range of backgrounds to apply. A financial stipend will be provided. As a recent intern expressed:

I have yet to learn and a lot cannot be taught in a classroom but has to be gained through hands-on experience and face to face interaction with other members of my community, through lots of practice, patience, and learning from the members of the LWVSC.
