HomeLWVSC Intern Program

The Internship Program attracts students eager to carry out our nonpartisan mission as we foster voter engagement, turnout in elections, and political involvement on issues significant to our community. Mentored and trained by LWVSC members, interns work with our voter service team and act independently in Sacramento County community and campus settings. Internship sessions are offered each college semester with class credit obtainable by working with the CSUS administration.  A financial stipend is provided.

LWVSC is committed to reflecting this region’s racial, ethnic, cultural, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic identities, and encourages individuals from all backgrounds to apply. As a recent intern expressed:
"....a lot cannot be taught in a classroom but has to be gained through hands-on experience and face to face interaction with other members of my community, through lots of practice, patience, and learning from the members of the LWVSC"
